1. About Jug City
Jug City is a community platform for boulderers in the Netherlands. The app lets you plan sessions with your team, track boulder projects, share content on the feed, and discover gyms. Jug City also offers a portal for boulder gyms (gyms.jugcity.nl) to reach their climbers.
2. Account
- You need an account to use Jug City.
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential.
- The information you provide must be accurate.
- You may only have one personal account.
- You can delete your account at any time from your profile page.
3. Code of conduct
By using Jug City, you agree to the following rules:
- Treat other users with respect.
- Do not post content that is offensive, discriminatory, violent, or illegal.
- Do not post spam, advertisements, or misleading content.
- Do not use the app to stalk, intimidate, or harass others.
- Do not share personal information of others without their consent.
4. Moderation
Jug City has a crew team that moderates the community. The crew team can:
- Remove posts and comments that violate the code of conduct.
- Suspend (temporarily) or ban (permanently) accounts for repeated violations.
- Suspended users can read the feed but cannot post or comment.
- Banned users no longer have access to the app.

5. Your content
- You retain all rights to content you post (text, photos, etc.).
- By posting content, you grant Jug City a license to display it to other users within the app, in accordance with your visibility settings (team/public).
- You can delete your content at any time.
- When you delete your account, all your content is permanently erased.
6. Gym accounts
Gyms can create a business account on gyms.jugcity.nl. Additionally:
- You may only create a gym account if you are authorized to represent the gym.
- Gym posts appear in the feed of all users and are recognizable as gym content.
- Gyms receive anonymized, aggregated insights about their gym (see our privacy policy).
7. AI features
Jug City offers optional AI features such as route analysis (Route Map). When using these:
- Your photos are processed by an external AI service (Anthropic).
- AI analysis is a tool — it does not replace your own judgment.
- We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated beta or hold detection.
8. Availability
We do our best to keep Jug City available, but we do not guarantee 100% uptime. We may temporarily interrupt the service for maintenance or updates, and we are not liable for damages caused by unavailability.
9. Liability
- Jug City is a tool for organizing boulder sessions. We do not provide medical or sports advice.
- Use of the app and the practice of bouldering is entirely at your own risk.
- We are not liable for injuries, accidents, or damages resulting from bouldering or from using information in the app.
- Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid to Jug City in the past 12 months (for free accounts: €0).
10. Intellectual property
The Jug City brand, logo, design, and code are the property of Jug City. You may not copy, modify, or distribute them without our permission.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. For significant changes, we will notify you via the app or email. By continuing to use the app after a change, you agree to the new terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.
